An update regarding Covid-19 (Coronavirus)

At Wimpole Street Dental Care our priority is the health and safety of you, our patients, and our team which is why I took the difficult decision earlier this week to close the practice temporarily due to the current Covid-19 (Coronavirus) pandemic.
You will undoubtedly have seen the government measures to try and limit the spread of the virus which include guidelines to only leave home for the following reasons:

  • Shopping for basic necessities such as food and medicine. Shopping trips should be as infrequent as possible

  • One form of exercise a day such as a run, walk or cycle. This should be done alone or only with people you live with

  • Any medical need, or to provide care or to help a vulnerable person. This includes moving children under the age of 18 between their parents' homes, where applicable. Key workers or those with children identified as vulnerable can continue to take their children to school

  • Travelling to and from work, but only where this is absolutely necessary and cannot be done from home

Even when following the above guidance, people should minimise the amount of time spent out of their homes and should keep two metres (6ft) away from people they do not live with.
The more everyone adheres to the advice above, the quicker we can return to our normal way of life.

In the meantime, look after yourselves and from a dental perspective, don’t forget to brush, floss, interdental clean and look after your teeth and perhaps most importantly don’t over-indulge on sugary snacks!
If you experience a dental emergency or are in pain, please call the practice on 020 7935 3323 as we have transferred all calls and Christine will still be answering them of offer advice.
Please note:
If you receive an automated reminder from us inviting you for a check-up or hygienist visit, please ignore them for the time being.
Keep well and keep safe,

Dr Laleh Sabahipour
